When R1 Concepts and Nitto Tire head to Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, you know it is going to be something special. This year, the crew locked in on one mission: hit the most challenging trails, capture the best shots, and show what happens when serious brake upgrades meet serious terrain.
Moab is unlike anywhere else. The red rock canyons, the technical line choices, the raw exposure of trails like Cliffhanger and Steel Bender demand full commitment from your rig and your crew. Watch the full run above.
Cliffhanger: One of Moab’s Best
The day kicked off on Cliffhanger, one of Moab’s most iconic trails. The exposure is real on this one. Narrow ledges, big drops, and zero room for error. The R1 crew worked through each section with confidence. More gas, more tire, more momentum — that’s the name of the game on rock like this.
After getting drenched by a downpour early in the day, the sun broke through right when it needed to. That’s Moab in April.
Steel Bender with Nitto
Next up was Steel Bender, a canyon trail that tests your line selection and your patience in equal measure. Running it alongside the Nitto team made it that much better. The group moved together, spotting each other through the tight sections and making sure nobody pushed beyond what they were comfortable with. That’s how you do it right.
Why Your Brakes Matter Out Here
Moab terrain puts your entire brake system under real load. Sustained descents, repeated hard stops on loose rock, heat buildup on technical ledges — your brakes either hold up or they don’t. R1 Concepts drilled rotors and performance pads are built for exactly this kind of use, giving you the stopping confidence to focus on the line ahead instead of worrying about what happens if you can’t stop.
If you’re planning a Moab trip or any serious off-road run, make sure your brake setup is ready. Check out what R1 Concepts has for your vehicle at r1concepts.com.
