R1 Concepts warrants to the original retail purchaser that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions for the applicable warranty period listed in this Limited Warranty. Warranty periods vary by product category as outlined below.
This Limited Warranty applies only to products purchased directly from R1 Concepts or an authorized R1 Concepts dealer or reseller and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase from an authorized seller is required for all warranty claims.
This Limited Warranty supersedes all prior written or verbal warranty statements and constitutes the entire express warranty offered by R1 Concepts.
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by R1 Concepts. Submission of a warranty claim does not guarantee warranty coverage. R1 Concepts reserves the sole and exclusive right to determine whether a product qualifies for warranty coverage under the terms of this Limited Warranty.
If a warranty claim is approved, R1 Concepts may, at its sole discretion, repair the product, replace the product, or refund the original purchase price. Any replacement product will be covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.
1-Year Limited Warranty against manufacturer defects and rotor warping under normal operating conditions.
This warranty covers structural defects in materials or workmanship, including cracking due to a manufacturing defect, provided the rotor has not reached its minimum thickness specification.
Normal wear and tear
Corrosion or rust
Cosmetic defects
Brake noise or vibration
Heat checking or discoloration
Rotors that have reached the minimum thickness specification
Damage resulting from improper installation
Improper bedding procedures
Excessive hub runout
Improperly torqued lug nuts
Seized brake components
Worn suspension or steering components
Wheel bearing failure
Vehicle modifications
Abuse or misuse
Racing or competition use
Any other vehicle-related mechanical condition
This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear
Brake dust
Brake noise or squeal
Improper bedding
Improper installation
Abuse or misuse
Racing or competition use
30-Day Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Caliper Bodies, excluding paint, anodizing, powder coating, or other cosmetic finishes
Caliper Components
Mounting Brackets
Brake Lines
Rotors
Brake Pads
This warranty does not cover:
Cosmetic finishes
Brake noise
Brake dust
Normal wear
Improper installation
Abuse or misuse
Racing or competition use
Products used in racing, competition, track days, drifting, autocross, or other high-performance driving conditions are subjected to operating conditions beyond normal street use.
Products used in these applications are excluded from warranty coverage except for verified manufacturer defects occurring during the applicable warranty period.
R1 Concepts makes no representation or warranty regarding the ability of any braking product to prevent injury or death during racing, competition, or other performance driving activities. The purchaser assumes all risks associated with these applications.
The Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover:
Improper installation
Improper routing or installation of the brake line
Physical damage caused by accidents, impact, abrasion, or external forces
Modification or alteration of the brake line
Improper application
Abuse or misuse
Corrosion resulting from improper installation or environmental exposure
Racing, competition, or track use
Normal wear and tear
Cosmetic damage
Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
Proof of purchase and, when requested, the defective product must be provided for all warranty claims.
The Limited Lifetime Warranty does not extend to labor, installation, removal, diagnostic fees, shipping, freight, towing, rental vehicles, vehicle downtime, loss of vehicle use, or any other incidental or consequential expenses associated with a warranty claim.
Any replacement Stainless Steel Brake Line provided under this Limited Lifetime Warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original Limited Lifetime Warranty period, subject to the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty.
The following products carry a 1-Year Limited Warranty against manufacturer defects:
Brake Calipers
Master Cylinders
Wheel Cylinders
Brake Hoses
Hardware Kits
Brake Drums
ABS Sensors
This warranty does not cover:
Corrosion
Cosmetic damage
Brake noise
Brake dust
Normal wear and tear
Improper installation
Abuse or misuse
Racing or competition use
Note: R1 Stainless Steel Brake Lines are covered separately under the Limited Lifetime Warranty stated above
Manufacturer defects are defects in materials or workmanship that result in structural failure during normal intended use.
Examples of manufacturer defects may include:
Structural cracking
Material failure
Manufacturing flaws
Structural failure resulting from defective materials or workmanship
Manufacturer defects do not include:
Rust or corrosion
Cosmetic imperfections
Zinc coating discoloration
Heat checking
Surface scoring
Brake dust
Brake noise
Pitting
Normal wear
Improper installation
Improper bedding procedures
Lack of maintenance
Vehicle-related mechanical failures
Abuse
Misuse
Neglect
Unauthorized repairs
Unauthorized modifications
Racing, track use, or competition driving
To submit a warranty claim, the original purchaser must provide:
Proof of purchase from an authorized R1 Concepts dealer or reseller.
The defective product if requested.
Photographs, inspection reports, measurements, or other documentation requested by R1 Concepts.
A brake inspection report when required for rotor warping claims.
R1 Concepts reserves the right to inspect all products before approving or denying warranty coverage.
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by R1 Concepts. Submission of a claim does not guarantee approval.
R1 Concepts reserves the sole discretion to determine whether a product is defective and whether the defect qualifies for warranty coverage.
If approved, R1 Concepts may, at its sole discretion:
Repair the product;
Replace the product; or
Refund the original purchase price.
Any replacement product will be covered only for the remainder of the applicable original warranty period.
This Limited Warranty covers replacement or repair of defective products only.
R1 Concepts does not reimburse or assume responsibility for any expenses associated with warranty claims, including but not limited to:
Labor charges
Installation costs
Removal costs
Diagnostic fees
Shop supplies
Brake fluid
Wheel alignments
Shipping or freight charges
Expedited shipping
Towing
Rental vehicles
Travel expenses
Vehicle downtime
Loss of vehicle use
Any incidental or consequential expenses related to the warranty claim or replacement
These expenses are solely the responsibility of the purchaser.
This Limited Warranty does not cover products damaged as a result of:
Improper installation
Incorrect installation procedures
Improper torque procedures
Improper bedding procedures
Abuse or misuse
Neglect
Lack of maintenance
Accidents or collisions
Unauthorized repairs
Unauthorized modifications
Corrosion
Cosmetic damage
Normal wear and tear
Racing, competition, or track use
Off-road use outside the product's intended application
Installation on an incorrect vehicle application
Vehicle modifications
Mechanical conditions unrelated to a manufacturer defect
Products that have reached their service limits or minimum thickness specifications
Warranty coverage may be denied or voided if:
The product was improperly installed.
Incorrect installation procedures were followed.
The product was used outside its intended application.
The product was modified or repaired without authorization.
The product was intentionally damaged.
Brake rotors have reached or fallen below the manufacturer's minimum thickness specification.
Brake pads or shoes have reached their service limit.
The product has been used in racing, track events, competition, drifting, or similar performance applications.
Vehicle modifications or mechanical issues caused or contributed to the failure.
The purchaser cannot provide valid proof of purchase from an authorized R1 Concepts dealer or reseller.
The purchaser's exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty shall be repair, replacement, or refund of the original purchase price, at the sole discretion of R1 Concepts.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, R1 Concepts shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Labor charges
Installation costs
Removal costs
Diagnostic fees
Towing
Rental vehicles
Property damage
Personal injury
Loss of profits
Loss of business
Loss of production
Loss of goodwill
Loss of vehicle use
Vehicle downtime
Claims by third parties
These limitations apply to damages arising from the purchase, installation, use, misuse, or inability to use any R1 Concepts product, regardless of whether the claim is based on contract, negligence, strict liability, warranty, or any other legal theory.
This Limited Warranty is the sole and exclusive express warranty provided by R1 Concepts.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are expressly disclaimed.
This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
R1 Concepts reserves the right to modify this Limited Warranty at any time without prior notice. Any revisions become effective upon publication on the R1 Concepts website.
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. As a result, certain limitations contained in this Limited Warranty may not apply to you.
No employee, distributor, dealer, reseller, or representative is authorized to modify, expand, or extend this Limited Warranty on behalf of R1 Concepts.
