SPOCOM LA 2026: Hot Takes, Wild Builds, and R1 Concepts Highlights

SPOCOM has a way of packing the best of car culture under one roof, and SPOCOM LA 2026 at the LA Convention Center was no exception. The R1 crew rolled out, set up the booth, and spent the day surrounded by some of the cleanest builds and coolest people in the scene. Between the show cars, the conversations, and a round of Hot Takes that got spicier than anyone expected, it was one of our favorite stops of the year. Here is what went down.

SPOCOM LA 2026 Took Over the Convention Center

If you have never been, SPOCOM is one of the premier import and lifestyle shows in the country, and the LA stop always draws a serious crowd. Rows of builds ranging from tastefully clean to full-send wild, vendors packed shoulder to shoulder, and a crowd that actually knows their stuff. The energy inside the LA Convention Center was exactly what you want from a big-city show: loud, colorful, and full of people who genuinely love this hobby. We saw builds that made us stop mid-conversation just to walk around them.

Hot Takes With Rex and the Crew

The highlight of the day was our Hot Takes segment. Rex pulled a rotating cast of friends and ambassadors into the booth to weigh in on the car-culture questions everyone argues about, and the answers did not disappoint. AyyePaulyy, George, TheBigMike, WhoIsVinnyMac, and a bunch of others stepped up to the mic, and let us just say some of the takes were spicy. Nothing brings a booth to life like a good-natured debate about what belongs on a build and what absolutely does not. If you have opinions about wheel fitment, stance, or whether a certain mod is played out, you would have felt right at home.

The Builds That Stole the Show

Show season is all about the builds, and SPOCOM LA delivered. From meticulously detailed engine bays to wild wide-body setups and wheel-and-brake combos that had people crouching down for a closer look, there was no shortage of inspiration. We always love seeing how owners spec their cars, because the details tell you everything about how the car actually gets driven. Big brakes peeking through the spokes, staggered setups dialed in just right, the little choices that separate a nice car from a standout one.

Why R1 Shows Up to Shows Like This

We do not come to SPOCOM just to set up a table. We come because this is our community. Talking to owners about their builds, hearing what they are running and what they want to upgrade next, and meeting the people who trust R1 Concepts on their cars is the whole point. A lot of great setups start with a conversation at a booth exactly like this one. Whether you are chasing better stopping power for spirited driving or just want your brakes to look as good as the rest of the build, it starts with the right parts.

Thanks for an Unforgettable SPOCOM LA 2026

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, played Hot Takes, and shared their rides with us. Shows like this are a reminder of why we love what we do.
