It has almost been a year since the folks at EA games released their previous Need for Speed game and now their new soon to be released Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will now change things up a bit from their previous installment. What makes game different from last years Need For Speed is that now you can choose to play as a police officer or as a street racer. The racer’s objective is all about driving fast, racing and outrunning the cops while the police officer’s objective is to chase down the racers and busting them. To win as a racer, you have to stay ahead at certain distance for a set amount of time and to win as a police officer, you have to damage the racers car until it reaches 100% damage. Power ups will also be available to both drivers respectively such as a radar jammer, nitrous boost, spike strips and police chopper. More power ups are said to be announced by the time the game is released. A total of 65 different real life vehicles will also be in the game such as the Nissan 370Z, Nissan GT-R SpecV and the Ford Crown Victoria, it wouldn’t feel like a real police chase with out being able to select the Crown Victoria, nice touch EA. Those who purchases the limited edition copy of the game will also get to choose the Dodge Challenger SRT-8 and the Chevrolet Camaro SS. I will probably pick up a copy a couple days after it is released, maybe I will see some of you online and I will be in “Hot Pursuit”.
