When it comes to iconic Japanese sports cars, few vehicles turn heads like the Toyota MK4 Supra. For Perla Mald (@Perla_Mald), owning one was a dream inspired by The Fast and the Furious. About a year ago, that dream became reality when she picked up her own MK4 Supra.
Perla’s build blends classic JDM performance with modern upgrades. Finished in a subtle silver color, the car already had a timeless look. But she wanted something that would stand out visually while also improving performance. That is where R1 Concepts came in.
Fun fact. Perla’s Supra is right hand drive, which makes every drive a unique experience, especially for drivers used to left hand drive cars.
Her R1 Setup
Perla brought her Supra to the R1 Concepts shop for a major upgrade. The first modification on the car was a custom R1 Concepts Big Brake Kit.
Her setup includes:

- Performance multi piston calipers with a custom pink finish
- Lightweight anodized hats for added visual contrast
The result is a braking system that not only delivers stronger stopping power but also creates an eye catching pop behind the gunmetal wheels.
The color combination works perfectly. The light silver paint keeps the build clean and subtle, while the pink calipers add a bold accent that stands out in the sun.
