Warehouse Pallet Sorter

• Inspect, sort, organize, and arrange wood pallets of various sizes and materials in outdoor work areas

• Visibly ensure pallets are suitable for reuse and hand stack, load, unload, and move with material handling equipment

• Inspect pallets and materials for damage and repair as necessary using hand and power tools

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized outdoor and work area (i.e clearing trash, maintaining gate access, etc.)

• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed

• Report damaged or defective equipment, tools, and materials to supervisor promptly

• Collaborate with department team members to ensure efficient workflow and completion of daily tasks

• Conduct weekly inventory of supplies required for pallet repairs

• Accurately complete required production paperwork at the end of each shift

• Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Follow all safety protocols in compliance with department policies, as well as federal and state regulations

• Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures while always maintaining professionalism

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience

• Minimum 1 year sit-down forklift experience

• Experience with pallet handling or repair preferred

• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team and work independently

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety

• Attendance at work and punctuality are an essential function of this position

• Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, lifting, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions (hot, cold, rain)

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
