Currently in the market, there are two types of brake<\/span> pad shims<\/span>. Rubber and titanium. Which one should you get and why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rubber shims<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This type is often what your car comes with if there are shims<\/span> already installed<\/span>. Most of the time, rubber shims<\/span> are enough if you don\u2019t subject your car to heavy<\/span> braking<\/span> or high speeds. You might be asking why, and to answer that question, heat will melt rubber. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
