27 percent of women say traveling is the number one on their list. And, a majority of those (67%) say they would be willing to buy it for themselves. However, a majority of those respondents made it clear that a trip to a spa, sailing on a cruise, or even going on a no-fuss packaged tour are the three most favored options among their top choices for travel. Now guys, planning and arranging the quick getaway will definitely be in your favor. And if you don’t have the time to go on a trip, local spas and health clubs do offer gift certificates.
Second choice for women is jewelry. Twenty percent prefer earrings, and sixteen percent say a necklace or chain would be the perfect gift. Now, jewelry does not mean an “expensive gift”. For moms or grandmothers, a self made bracelet with the children’s/grand children’s birthstone can be very memorable.
Technology and electronic equipment rank third overall with women in the study. Most of the women in this group want a new computer (30%) or a digital camera (25%). While some may argue about this, many women will use these items to email/ message/ share photos with family and friends online. A whopping 82 percent of those surveyed say they would buy these items for themselves.
So guys, lets break away from the old traditional flowers/ candy/ cards and the favorite, something for her but better for the men. Do something memorable for the women this year!
