The Dark Knight – Review: Definite Must See

After Steven B. did a rant blog about Heath Ledger, and his role as the Joker in the ‘The Dark Knight,’ I had to watch it right away.  I’m a old fan of Batman (who isn’t)!  Even though I didn’t read a lot of the comics, I watched the television series when they had Batman & Robin in tights.  I remember everytime Batman punches someone a big sign of “pow” would pop out.  Loved it, and it so old school!!!  I also watch the cartoon series, had the action figures while back when I was little child, and watched all the Batman movies as well.

Watching ‘Batman Begins,’ and the sequel, ‘The Dark Knight,’ blew the old Batman movies aways.  The Batman movies before were a bit cartoonish and frictional scene, as the two recent Batman movies were very action packed realistic to our time.

Hands down on Heath Ledger!!!  From the Jokers’ appearance, little hand/mouth/tonuge jestures, and to his voice, no other actor could have pulled the Joker as well as he did.  But I do respect the old Joker, played by Jack Nicholoson.  Christian Dale pulled another great performance in his role as Batman.  Every actor brought thier “A” game in the performance.  I don’t want to spoil the movie, so I won’t go into detail of what happens, but just to let you know Joker is not the only villian.  If you have seen all the previews, you’re gonna like how they tie in the next villian.  I didn’t even know myself, so it was a overhaul of suspense.  Just how the scene by scene, story by story really gave creditiblity to the name “Batman.”  There was a lot of twist, lots of cool new Batman toys, and a very good story line in what Batman represents not only in comic but also in our real world.  He fights to represent: good, and the hate for being good; to keep his name, Bruce Wayne, and trying to hold on his love thats is blocked by being Batman.  So I’ll end with a ‘must watch movie’ of this summer!

The trailer definitely give the hype into the movie.  When Batman was alone on top of the building, that was shot on the Sears Tower, in Chicago.  So drop all plans and go watch “The Dark Knight.”  When you do watch it, let us know what you thought of the movie!

I’ve saw this movie a week after it open at the IMAX. I’ve to say that it was amazing watching it at the IMAX. The screen is HUGE! When they shoot the city, you feel like your flying through it. The movie itself was great. Love the story and the action was superb. Too bad Ledger died. He did a great Joker. Can’t wait till the next one. I think Joker was suppose to be back.
