If you had to make a list of some of the most capable vehicles Jeep has ever released, the Wrangler would undoubtedly be right at the top.
Recently, we took a trip through two incredible trails in Utah. The Wrangler was just one of the many vehicles we got to put through the paces. Its natural power–coupled with R1 Concepts’ high performance brake parts–made for an adventure none of us will soon forget.
Adventure and Excitement with Jeep and R1 Concepts
The first trail the team had the pleasure of experiencing was Rose Garden Hill. The constant scenery changes are enough to make any trip an absolute delight. The trail surface ranges from graded, smooth dirt to four-wheel bumpiness, depending on recent weather patterns and flood activity. Drainages (located off the mesa top above the trail), also add constant changes at crossings–presenting a fresh challenge every time you visit.
Next up was Poison Spider Mesa–an adventurous trail that doesn’t quite live up to its scary name. Poison Spider Mesa actually forms one of the many cliff features that make up part of the Moab landscape, just west of Moab Valley and north of the Colorado River. This particular trail has some initial switchbacks that make it tougher than average–although flat, sandy stretches do abound. There’s also an optional v-shaped section that is perfect for snapping pictures of some of the most beautiful landscapes you’ll ever see.
