How to Add New Songs to Your iPod Without Deleting Songs

Many people have made mistakes syncing their ipod when they only want to add new songs from their iTunes Library but it also deletes all their previous songs.  I know it’s a terrible feeling to lose all the songs that you have because it has happened to me. Here, I will simply show you how to change the settings to add songs to your ipod without deleting the songs you currently have:

1. Connect your iPod to your iTunes. If any message appears asking you to erase and sync, make sure you click CANCEL.

2. Click your iPod icon in the left panel, under Devices (so your ipod can be highlighted).

3. In the middle panel, make sure you are in Summary page (located top tabs). Under Options, uncheck Sync Only. Now, check mark “Manually manage musics and videos.”

4. To add songs from your iTunes to your iPod, select the songs from your  Music under Library and drag it in to your iPod icon under Devices.

You have now changed your settings to add songs to your ipod manually. Now, iTunes should never ask you if you want to erase & sync your ipod when you connect to any ipod devices.
