How the Big 3 Miami Heats Will Affect the NBA

There was a time I use to imagine if Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade would play together in the same team. It would be exciting to watch. I couldn’t imagine a dull game with these 2 players with such amazing talent. Then I use to think, would they bump heads to who will get the ball and shoot the last shot? Is it possible to win a championship? I believe it’s possible but they would have to put their egos aside and play together. Then I came to reality, I don’t think it would ever be possible. It has never been done and with money demands and salary caps, I believed it would be impossible to create. I was wrong.

The “Big 3 Miami Heats” was created: Dwayne Wade, Lebron James, and Chris Bosh.  These are 3 really talented players including the 2 time MVP. I was amazed to hear the news. I believed ever since the “Big 3 Celtics” were created and the strength of Kobe Bryant and his Los Angeles Lakers Champions, there weren’t too many teams out there to compete. Ever since, every team has tried to build up their roster to compete.  But to have 3 NBA elite basketball superstars in one team. Would it only be exciting to see one supreme team play while other teams just can’t compete, excluding the Lakers and Celtics? In the old days, you would see these types of elite players competing against each other to see who would be better. It was exciting to watch Magic Johnson and Larry Bird challenge each other in the Finals. To see Michael Jordan’s Bulls challenge Magic Johnson’s Lakers. Just imagine if they joined forces and played in the same team. It would be fun to watch them play together, but not as exciting to watch them compete against each other.  It would be more of a thrilling game to watch.

Overall, the result is, if a ball club is determined to win, not only do they have to upgrade their roster, they are going to aim high on the bracket now to compete against the Miami Heats. Maybe I’m talking too soon. We have to see how they play together and if they are going to have a decent enough bench to assist.  This team does look promising to get far. But the NBA is going to change from this Miami Heat Team that has been built. Instead of a good amount of decent teams to compete, there will eventually only be about a few, maybe 3 super teams for the whole league with the new Miami Heats. As a result, NBA revenue will decrease somewhat because viewer ratings will only be high when the strong teams are playing against each other. This will be a new era for the NBA.
