I’m looking forward to the action/thriller movie, “The Expendables”.  It is the cast that gets me hyped up about the movie. When I was growing up, I remember watching action, fighting movies like “Predator, Die Hard, Rocky, Once Upon a Day in China, Terminator”. I use to get excited to watch these movies. Imagine if all the stars in those movies were starred in one big action packed movie. It has come to reality with “The Expendables” movie. It stars Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and more other manly tough figures. (more…)

There was a time I use to imagine if Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade would play together in the same team. It would be exciting to watch. I couldn’t imagine a dull game with these 2 players with such amazing talent. Then I use to think, would they bump heads to who will get the ball and shoot the last shot? Is it possible to win a championship? I believe it’s possible but they would have to put their egos aside and play together. Then I came to reality, I don’t think it would ever be possible. It has never been done and with money demands and salary caps, I believed it would be impossible to create. I was wrong.

The Problem:

My girlfriend has a 2001 Lexus ES300 with 160,000 miles. She’s been having starting problems at least once a week for half a year. I’ve notice when the weather is cool or cold, that’s when it really had a hard time starting. I checked the battery, it was  good. Took a look at the spark plugs, still good but changed them anyways, didn’t solve the problem.  Thought maybe it needs a tune up so I had that done, a week later, same problem. So I decided not to waste any more time and money,  I took it to my mechanic. He took a look and told me the starting problem is very common for the 1992 – 2001 Lexus ES300 and the 1992 – 2001 Toyota Camry V6. He told me it’s not a cheap fix.

Ash Wednesday, in the Western Christian calendar, is the first day of Lent, and occurs forty-six days (forty days not counting Sundays) before Easter (Wikipedia). Ash Wednesday is also the first day we give up something we cherished or often do until Easter. I gathered up just 5 hardest things in my opinion will be hard to give up, for some (list is not in any particular order).

 Why I Sometimes Hate People!

When I was growing up, my mom would always tell me to respect other people. She would preach to me not to judge people because I don’t know them and I don’t know where they’ve been. She would tell me to treat others how I would like to be treated. These are great words to live by and I’ve tried by best to live by these guidelines. However,  this can be very difficult at times because  there are soo many annoying people who do random irritating things. The list can go on for days but here are some that I’ve noticed daily. I will call this segment, I Hate It When….

Always like some alcohol with your food, I do. Nice cold beer usually goes great with many foods. Well, you can wish no longer (for some), based in Miami, Burger King has plans to serve value meals with beer in South Beach. They plan to call it the “Whopper Bar”. The Whopper Bar is opening sometime in February where they will be serving the same Burger King burger and fries but the option of a beer to with it. After the initial opening in South Beach, Whopper Bars are planning to open up in New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas ( you still won’t find beer serving in regular Burger Kings though).
