I received this info from TMZ: Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at his Los Angeles Home around 12:30 p.m. today (Thursday June 25, 2009).  When Paramedics got there, Michael Jackson wasn’t breathing so they performed CPR.  They never got him to breath again.  He died from cardiac arrest.  He was taken to UCLA Medical Center. More info will come once we find out more.

We just want to send out our prayers to his family and kids.  May he rest in peace.  Michael has been through many ups in the past and many downs in the passed 2 decades.  But we want to remember the impact he brought to the music industry in the 1980’s.  Funny thing, couple of days ago, Long, one of our R1 Sales Rep was watching one of his old video on youtube of Michael doing his moon walk.  We forgot all about the “Moon Walk,” after seeing it we were amazed from his great dance moves. But today we are saden by the news of his death. We didn’t believe it at first till we saw more news that it’s true. Michael was only 50.

I was only a kid in the 80’s but remember him well. Who wouldn’t if you lived in the 80’s, he was the King of Pop. Everyone over the World knew and loved him.  He was planned to do concerts in London and other places of the World, singing and dancing to his classics. That would of been a great come back for him and I know many people from around the World would love to see the old MJ again. When he’s on television, he captured the Worlds attention either it was good or bad. Even his old music videos, people can’t help to watch because he’s just facinating.  I remember 5 years ago, I needed to get something at Fry’s electronics, they were  playing his “Michael Jackson’s Greatest Hits” dvd in the front of the store entrance in their big  home entertainment display.  They had a big screen tv with surround sound.  There was at least 20 people standing there watching it, not for the entertainment products, but for MJ.  His music brought us great joy and till this day, when they play his music, you can’t help but remember the good times you had when you heard that song back in the days.  I still remember when I was in 5th grade, we sang “Heal the World” by MJ at one of our singing assemblies.  He is and always will be a music icon.  As big as Elvis was the King of Rock & Roll, Michael is the King of Pop.  You will be missed and never forgotten.

Had a chance to watch this last night at a IMAX theatre. You can’t watch Transformers at a regular theatre, IMAX will give you the full effect of a bigger and clearer screen, as well as seat rumbling sound. Waited in line for 2 hours at the last showing, making sure I get a good seat.  In we go and I just couldn’t wait to watch this movie, and to see Megan Fox.  I’m a big fan of hers.  She’s smoking  HOT!

As you know, the same characters are back.  Sam Witwicky (Shia LeBeouf) has finished high school and is ready to head off to college where he’s going to dorm.  Mom is crying and very saden that her son is leaving.  For some reason his mom seems to be more ditsy in this film.  Sam is also leaving his ridiculously hot girlfriend back home Mikaela (Megan Fox).   Sam also left behind his guardian angel Bumblebee, he wanted to live his life without having robots in his life.  He just wanted to be a normal kid and let the Autobots do their things with the feds.  Soon did Sam know that Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) will need his help as Sam will need Optimus Prime’s help.  So it goes out with Sam doing his college thing and he meets this very aggressive and also hot girl Alice (Isabel Lucas).  I swear Sam gets all the hot girls.  But then finds she’s more then just a girl.  Danger is after Sam so Mikaela flies over to help him.  The adventure goes on as Sam learns his role to save Earth.  Megatron returns to help bring his leader back, The Fallen.  Theres an all out war with the Decepticon and Autobots that takes place in Egypt.  U.S. forces joins to help the Autobots as well.  I’m not going into any more details for those who haven’t watched it.

Martin”s Review:

This movie had a lot more action compared to the first.  Some people said they like the first Transformers more then this.  I actually like this one more because there is a lot more action.  Twice as much compared to the first one.  Also they showed a lot more of Megan Fox, little too much with close ups, her sexy scene when she first comes on the movie, and her running.  But I’m not complaining.  Some people want to see more story and less robots fighting each other, but I’m not one of them.  The fight and action scenes are great and the sound effects are amazing.  When a robot fell to the ground, you can feel it.  Some dissapointments I had are the robots from the Decepticons.  Sometimes I don’t know who is who, not sure who is Megatron when he’s standing around fighting with his buddies.  And some robots looks more like monsters.  Also many of the cars used are concept cars from chevy (like the Corvette Concept).  I don’t want to see concept cars, I want to see real cars of today.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to see how cool these cars are, but we only see it in the movies.  I mean we might see these cars in the future like the 2010 Camaro (Bumblebee).  But we already knew that car was going to come for sure and it did.  There’s also a lot more funny scenes as well, Skids (Tom Kenny) and Mudflap (Reno Wilson) are twin robots from a Chevy concept cars.  They are pretty hilarous, but a little over board with their jokes.  So all in all, a movie worth watching and worth the extra dollars to enjoy it more at an IMAX theatre.  Michael Bay gave us what we wanted in a Transformer movie, more action and more of Megan Fox.

Finally was able to catch a flick, its been awhile. Been busy but had 3 days off because of Memorial Day. Lot’s of new movies came out; Night at the Museum-Battle of the Smithsonian, Terminator Salvation, and Dance Flick. I’m a huge Terminator fan, mainly Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991). This new one looks more promising then Terminator 3: Rise of Machines (2003) and I don’t remember much of The Terminator (1984) . Looking at the previews, the graphics looks good and also staring Christian Bale as John Conner. So this movie has to deliver…. right?

The date is 2018, the machines from Skynet has taken over the World. The human race is now small and in hiding like rats. They are out numbered by machines. There is a army called the reistance that is trying to fight Skynet and the man that everyone listens to is John Conner. He is the man who everyone has faith to take out Skynet and lead them. John has a really good understanding of what Skynet is capable of and what lies ahead because of his mom, Sarah Conner. She left him lots of recorded tapes of information given by her before she was killed. When John thought he knew everything that Skynet is capable of, a man name Marcus (Sam Worthington) steps in. He’s mainly a machine but has a human heart. Marcus wanted to help John get into the heart of Skynet. But John never heard of such a machine, did not know Skynet was capable of this type of machine, and was never told anything about it by his mother. John doesn’t know if he should trust this thing that either came from the past to help, or from the future to destory John and the resistance. But I’m already spilling a bit too much so you will have to watch it to find out the whole story. I don’t to spoil it.

Martins Reviews:

So did this movie deliver? I would say yes. So go watch it in theaters because you get the whole effect not just from the computer graphics but from the sound effects. It’s really amazing the sound the machines and termintors makes, feels like you’re there. The story wasn’t bad but I think they are having a difficult time creating a story from the recent Terminators. Action is good, but nothing still compares to the action in Terminator 2. In Terminator 2, it gave you this fear of being chased, Terminator Salvation did the same thing in one of the action scene but just didn’t do as well as the scene in Terminator 2 when John Conner was speeding away in his little motorcycle, trying to get away from the terminator driving a big rig. Christain Bale did a great job playing John Conner, only thing about him is he kind of gives that deep, trying too hard, Batman voice at times. Also Lt. Blair Williams (Korinna Moon Bloodgood) looks gorgious in here, she reminds me of a younger version of Tia Carrere. For the people that did see it, did you see Terry Alan Crews (aka T-Money in Battle Dome, Damon in Friday After Next, think you got the point) in the begining when he was dead from the blast? It look just like him, didn’t even show him when he was alive but showed him when he was dead.

Can you believe this is the 12th movie from the Friday the 13th franchise. I’m a big fan of these classic horror characters. Horror characters like Freddy krueger, Michael Myers, Leatherface, and of course Jason Voorhees. Out of all of these guys, my favorite is Jason. For some reason when I have nightmares till this day…. most of them have Jason in it trying to kill me. I’ve seen all of the 12 Friday the 13th movies. The more recent ones didnt really live up to his name. Jason X was just terrifying in a bad way. Freddy vs. Jason wasn’t a bad concept, and I’m glad Jason kicked Freddy’s behind.

So the new movie from Michael Bay and Marcus Nispel (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) is like a remake of the Friday the 13th 3-4 film of the series. The story continued from the first 2 films of the series but this one takes place in modern time.  So you will see little rich kids with Cadillac Escalades, cell phones, and GPS systems. Jason looked better then ever, played by Derek Mears. Story takes place at the all so scary Camp Crystal Lake. A group of teenagers go out to find their secret pot growing field. They enter the forest and right into Crystal Lake, there they get killed but one girl name Whitney Miller (Amanda Righetti). Weeks later her brother, Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki)  is determined to find her. He runs into another group of teenagers that was also headed to Crystal Lake. From that group a girl name Jenna (Danille Panabaker) who felt sorry for him and wanted to help. So they search through Crystal lake, they go through old cabins and they get to Jason’s own house. Now they must do what it takes to get out of Crystal Lake alive…. if they are lucky!

Martin’s Review

This movie has what it takes to be called Friday the 13th. It had suspense, blood, naked girls, and sex scene (or should I say scenes). Actually this version had a lot of nudity (not complaining). It had some of the scary music but not as much as the old versions. The music is actually what makes it even more scarier when Jason is comming after you with his machete. Some of the killings happened way too quickly, some you don’t get to see how they die (No I’m not sick in the head). But if you count all of the killings there was like 13 victims (If I didn’t mistaken). I was happy that the story stayed true to its roots, killings, and Jason himself. It showed his house, bits of his child hood, and how the whole hockey mask became his new face.

Should you watch this at the theatre? YES

What a great Allstar weekend with full of excitment especially from the Sprite Dunk Contest. Watching Nate Robinson at 5 feet 9 inches tall beating Dwhite Howard at 6 feet 11 inches. Both contenders gave unforgetable dunks during the contest. Man I thought I’ve seen it all until I met Guy Dupuy. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches tall, this young man is a freak of nature! See for yourself.
