Bellagio at Las Vegas, Nevada (aka Sin City)

Las Vegas, Nevada is a place where you can come and be a ‘rockstar’ day and night.  Sin City is where action happens 24/7.  I took a trip last weekend just for a little get-a-way.  It was a bit last minute, but I was able to find a decent deal at www.priceline.com.  I was able to book a room for two nights at the Bellagio for a $525.00 .  Not bad for a five star resort.

The Hotel Room:  4.2 Stars

The room was pretty nice, classy and roomy.  It was a one king bedroom.  I thought it might have look a bit more glamorous and cleaner.  We had a nice view of the garden/pool area.

The Pool:  4.9 Stars

Very huge! If you’re pooling on a Saturday, I recommend coming there before 11a.m.  or else there would not be any nice beach chairs to layout by the pool.  They had about 3 different pools.  Very nice scenery and pleasant atmosphere to just lay around and relax.  I thought it could have used a bit of upbeat music playing outside.  That’s only reason why I did not give it a 5 stars.

Yellowtail – Restuarant:  5 Stars

Lovely place to have sushi.  The sushi was very fresh and flawless.  The portions a bit small but it gives you a chance to eat a lot more on the menu.  I recommend trying out the chef’s specials.  It’s pricey but well worth every dollar.  They had bamboo walls that we’re just elegant and also an open view to watch the spectacular water show.  The water show would come up every 10 to 15 minute as I remember.  Can’t beat a superb meal with a show at the same time.   It’s a nice upbeat place for a romantic dinner or a group dinner.  This place gets pack quickly, so reservation early in the day is recommended.

The Prime Steakhouse:  5 Stars

The steaks are to die for!  I had the ribeye steak medium rare and it was just packed with flavor.  The ribeye had some fat in the meat, which made it more mouthwatering.  With steaks, I usually need some kind of steak sauce, but with the steak here, you didn’t need any type of steak sauce at all.  The onion rings and mushroom side dishes are also excellent to add to the main course.  A very elegant restaurant to dine in.  Very quiet and romantic atmosphere.  A great place for an anniversary dinner.  We also sat by the window and watch the water show performance every 10 to 15 minutes.  Can’t beat that for a romantic dinner.  This place goes out quick, so reserve a spot early in the day.

Out Side of Bellagio:

The Oyster Bar at Harrahs:  5 Stars

Recommended by my friends, so I had to try it out.  If you like raw oyster this is the place to be.  They have 3 different kinds of fresh oysters.  The steam bottleneck clams were tasty as well as many of there other seafood dishes.

The Carnival World Buffet at the Rio:  4.5 Stars

Really good buffet to try all type of ethic dishes.  One of favorite buffet places to eat at.  They have variety of different soup dishes, all you can eat crab legs, shrimp cocktail and many more.  If you hungry, this is the place to eat.  FYI the lines can get long, but it moves quick.  It’s usually a 15 – 30 min wait, but well worth it.

Las Vegas was short but sweet mini get-a-way.  Had a blast and would love to do it another time.  My overall rating of Bellagio is 5 stars.  If you’re looking to go Las Vegas and don’t know what to eat or where to stay, I hope this blog helps.  Just remember if you traveling on the road to Las Vegas, make sure you brakes up to par.  Don’t let brakeake run out, so if you need new brakes for traveling, come to R1 Concepts.
