In its 16th year, Bimmerfest had a change in venue. Originally the event took place at the Rose Bowl parking lot in Pasadena, CA and has built quite the reputation with that location bearing to it. The organizers had larger expectations this year and took it to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Bringing the event to the track meant a few things: Larger area for vendors, more room for cars, and the biggest change – a race track. When bringing BMW’s together, being the “Ultimate Driving Machine”, the Rose Bowl definitely did lack the room to let loose. This opened up to new events taking place: wheel-to-wheel racing ,street car hot laps, and Speed Venture’s Bimmer Challenge.
R1 Ladies Cristal Aguirre, Erica Law, and Brittani Paige were out to feature the R1 Equipped rides at our tour booth alongside Big Abe. The R1 Forged Series BBK was a big hit for this event as a few BMW’s featured a sexy set at the show.
